Welcome to 4HourBodyZone – where I’ll be posting recipes, workouts, and general things I think about regarding weight loss and getting healthier using methods from the book The 4-Hour Body

The book itself covers all kinds of topics – from fat loss and muscle building, to general well-being and on to sexual “health”…if you purchase the book and you have children, you may not want to leave it laying around (there are some graphic drawings, I’ll leave it at that…)

But, the biggest reason I like the book is that it gave me information on the following question:

How do you lose 20 pounds of fat in 30 days?

without exercising…exercising would theoretically make it more effective.

Is it possible? I say yes, as do a lot of other people who follow/followed the diet. My own personal results were that I lost right around 25 pounds in about 45 days or so – and have maintained that weight loss by generally following the slow carb and paleo diet

A little About Me:

I’m in my mid-30′s, I’m a father of 3, a husband, a school counselor, a WordPress website builder – and a former “fatty”…the last one is what prompted me to make this site.

I tried so many ways to lose weight over my lifetime, and none of them worked – or at least, none worked for more than a couple of weeks and none were “easy”…until I found slow carb and 4HB.

This has been easily the most satisfying diet and easiest to maintain diet that I have ever followed.

When I followed the diet properly, I did not feel hungry, I didn’t feel like I was struggling to avoid cheating from meal to meal – I just found it easy.

Here’s the other thing about this diet: you can experiment with your food and enjoy the experiments. I guess every diet has that component to it – but for some reason I find it enjoyable to figure out how to make something that is delicious and slow carb or paleo friendly.

Now, when I find I’ve been “cheating” a little too much or haven’t been following the diet the way I should – I don’t get discouraged – it’s just so easy to get right back on track – I start with a 1 day Intermittent Fast, then I jump right back into eating paleo and slow carb – within days I feel better and my weight goes back to where I’m comfortable.

As you can probably tell by my recipes – I’m not a trained chef – I’m just someone who likes to eat and enjoy experimenting – so if you are that way too, please send me recipes or posts to use – I will make sure you get credit and we can share our delicious foods with the whole 4 Hour Body community!
